Yixin Qiu has a diverse work experience, starting in 2003 at the Shanghai Museum as an English Editor. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a Chinese Cluster Mentor at the Language House, teaching undergraduate students Chinese language, history, and culture. Yixin then worked as an Exhibition Coordinator at the Wing Luke Museum of the Asian Pacific American Experience for a brief period in 2005. Starting in 2005, they also began their tenure at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, where they worked as a Research Assistant and Instructor until 2013, and as a PhD Student until 2013 as well. In 2011, Yixin worked as a Technology Support Specialist and Market Research Analyst at iFormBuilder. Finally, they joined Qlarant in 2013 as a Health Analyst Lead, and subsequently held roles as a Project Manager and Technical Project Manager there.
Yixin Qiu obtained a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Shanghai International Studies University in the years 1999 to 2003. This was followed by a Master's degree in Applied Anthropology from the University of Maryland, earned between 2004 and 2006. Continuing their education, Yixin Qiu completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Information Systems at the University of Maryland - Robert H. Smith School of Business from 2006 to 2013.
