Gilbert Baliki has over 30 years of professional experience in various roles. Gilbert began their career in 1989 as a Network Manager/Database Administrator at the Office of the Leader of the Opposition. In 1993, they moved to the Office of the Prime Minister as a Technical Coordinator. In 1996, they joined John S. Herold, Inc. as Senior Vice President, Director Information Systems, where they led a team of eight developers, database administrators, network engineers, and desktop support. In 2007, they began working at IHS Inc. / IHS Herold as Senior Director IT, leading the development of online database application and infrastructure projects. In 2016, they joined Onvida (Cognizant) as a Program Manager, managing internal and client project deliverables. Gilbert is currently working at Qmarkets - Corporate Innovation & Idea Management Platforms as a Customer Success Management Lead, Americas, consulting with clients to help shape their innovation program.

Gilbert Baliki attended Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology from 1988 to 1991, where they obtained a Computer Programmer degree in Information Technology. Gilbert then attended the University of Ottawa from 1986 to 1988, where they earned a B.A. Mathematics Honours program in English and Mathematics. Finally, they attended Florida Atlantic University from 1999 to obtain a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Information Systems.
