Prior to that, Melissa earned a BA in Italian Language and Literature from UC San Diego between 1991 and 1995. Melissa also spent a year as an exchange student at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna in 1993-1994. In terms of certifications, Melissa obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner® (CSPO®) from the Scrum Alliance in April 2013.
