Sabine Wagner is currently employed at Planet A Foods as a CAPEX and ScaleUp professional since April 2022. Previous experience includes serving as Team Leader Process Engineering at AMSilk GmbH from August 2020 to April 2022, and as a Projektingenieurin at cenguru GmbH from January 2019 to July 2020. Sabine completed a PhD at Technische Universität München, focusing on the systematic analysis of heterologous expression in Escherichia coli, between December 2014 and December 2018. A research stay at Imperial College London occurred in 2016, and a Master’s thesis at TU München on the production and characterization of polymer vesicles for multienzyme syntheses was completed with top marks in 2014. Early work included internships in protein engineering at Clariant and a training role at ETH Zürich focused on unnatural amino acid biosynthesis. Sabine holds a Master of Science in Industrial Biotechnology from the Technical University of Munich and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
