Cenk Yurtbilir began their career in 2011 as a Project Lead for the Dynamic Creativity and Problem Solving Workshop, where they were responsible for assigning positions and managing the group to complete the project efficiently, designing a real-life model of the function of oil extraction process, and developing a labor minimizing solution to obtain oil from the ground. In 2014, they attended a SQL Bootcamp and a Python Data Analysis Workshop at General Assembly, where they practiced basic syntax knowledge on MySQL by completing complex tasks, applied correlated sub-queries and table joins to analyze given employee data, and wrote a query in order to reformat and analyze a month of stock price data. Cenk also used Python for basic data analysis tasks such as data cleaning, reformatting and exploration. In 2015, they joined Nexient as a Jr Web/iOS Developer, where they created a sorting logic using Swift and optimized the performance of an iPad app accordingly, and was the frontend lead on an internal project built on AngularJS. Cenk also created data syncing functionality with the RESTful web service by using Alamofire and Core Data. In 2018, they became the Co-Founder & CTO of Qooper.
Cenk Yurtbilir completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) in Industrial Engineering at Purdue University from 2010 to 2014. Cenk then attended the Web Development Immersive Program at General Assembly in 2014 to further their knowledge in Web Development.
