Michael Hoodfar is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in driving product strategy and operational excellence within the financial technology sector. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Qore since June 2025, Michael leads efforts to enhance commercial strategy and launch innovative fintech products across Africa. Prior to this role, as Head of Product at Thought Machine, Michael successfully scaled the core banking product strategy, increasing the customer base tenfold and securing major international banking clients. Michael's previous tenure at Deutsche Bank included directing large teams on significant regulatory compliance initiatives and operational transformations, significantly enhancing risk controls through advanced technology solutions. With a solid foundation in computer science from The University of Edinburgh and early experience in both software engineering and financial advisory roles, Michael Hoodfar combines technical expertise with strong leadership in financial services.
