Rahul Datta Roy

Rahul Datta Roy has diverse work experience starting from their role as a Junior Systems Technician at APR Computers in 2007. Rahul then worked as an ICT Support Officer at Mineral Engineering Technical Services (METS) before joining Jumta IT Solutions as a Web Developer. As a Freelance Web Developer, Rahul developed custom intranet solutions using Zend Framework 2 and maintained multiple Ubuntu 12.04 systems.

In 2014, Rahul became a Web Developer at Navitas, where they later became a Team Leader and a Development Supervisor. Rahul played a critical role in advising, designing, and developing solutions for enterprise-wide software, leading migration teams and reporting teams. Rahul also contributed to go-live projects, performed nightly builds, and worked closely with the BA and QA teams.

After Navitas, Rahul worked as a Development Lead at Biznostics, focusing on small business coaching online. Rahul enhanced products using serverless architecture and designed AWS infrastructure. Rahul then became a DevOps Engineer at Civica, leading customer-focused solutions and architectures for cloud-based business applications and SaaS solutions.

Most recently, Rahul joined StudyLink as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where they designed and implemented scalable cloud-based infrastructure, influenced DevOps practices, and created production-ready microservices. Rahul also played a role in influencing cloud-first and cloud-native application design and development. Currently, Rahul is a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Qoria Limited and is the Squad Lead.

Rahul Datta Roy completed their Bachelor's in Science degree in Computer Science and Internet Software Development at Murdoch University from 2010 to 2014.
