Sanath de Mel

Sanath de Mel has a wealth of experience in pre and post-sales engineering, spanning from 2003 to 2021. Sanath began their career in 2003 at Wick Hill as a Pre-Sales/Post Sales - Application Delivery and Security, where they configured and upgraded firewall and bandwidth management, specialising in CheckPoint, Radware, Allot and WatchGuard products. In 2007, they moved to Radware Alteon as a Pre-Sales Engineer (UK, Nordics and Africa), providing pre and post-sales support for business development. In 2010, they joined Brocade Communications Systems as a Pre-Sales Engineer/SME - Public & Private Cloud - EMEA, providing direct-touch cloud and enterprise pre-sales support for major accounts. In 2016, they moved to F5 Networks as a Pre-Sales Engineer/SME - MSP & Cloud - EMEA, leading on business documentation for local MSP SE organisations and coordinating and combining F5 MSP and hybrid multi-cloud activities. In 2020, they joined EfficientIP as a Solutions Architect, providing pre-sales technical support for Account Managers to Cloud & Service Provider accounts. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Qredo as a Senior Blockchain Systems Engineer / Director, Systems Engineering Team, directing day-to-day resources and managing Major Account engagements while developing and driving GTM and execution strategies across territories.

Sanath de Mel completed a BSc in Computer Systems and Networks from Solent University between 1999 and 2002. In 2019, they obtained the Oxford Blockchain Strategy Programme certification from the University of Oxford. Sanath then obtained the AWS Certified Developer certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in February 2020 and the AWS Certified Solutions Architect certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in December 2019. Sanath de Mel is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Distributed Ledger Technology and Digital Currencies from the University of Nicosia, starting in 2020 and expected to end in 2021.
