Nicu Becherescu

Nicu Becherescu has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Nicu started their career as an Assistant Researcher in Theoretical Physics at the University of Bucharest from December 2006 to March 2010. After that, they joined Luminescent as a Project Manager from March 2010 to April 2011.

In 2011, Nicu joined Apel Laser and held multiple positions over the years. Nicu started as a Sales Engineer from 2011 to 2012, then became a Sales Manager from 2012 to 2017. In 2018, they moved up to the role of General Manager until 2020, after which they transitioned back to the position of Sales Manager. At Apel Laser, they were involved in research activities, marketing and sales for scientific instrumentation, and business development.

Currently, Nicu Becherescu works at Qruise as a Business Development Manager, a role they took on in September 2022. Nicu'sresponsibilities include overseeing the commercial, marketing, sales, and business development activities, with a focus on the quantum portfolio and expanding to other industries. Nicu also establishes and maintains relationships with partners worldwide and negotiates partnerships to meet company objectives.

Nicu Becherescu completed their education in physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest. From 2005 to 2009, they pursued a degree in Technological Physics and successfully obtained a Graduate - Diplomat engineer qualification. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree from 2009 to 2011, specializing in Quantum physics, Theory of Relativity and Electromagnetism. Additionally, during the same period, they also obtained a Master's degree in Photonics, Spectroscopy, Plasma, and Lasers. Finally, from 2011 to 2017, Nicu Becherescu pursued a PhD in Physics, focusing on Condensed Matter and Materials Physics at the Faculty of Physics, University of Bucharest.
