Yannis Charalabidis

Yannis Charalabidis is a Professor of Digital Governance at the University of the Aegean, where key research and teaching areas include Information Systems, Digital Government, and Smart Cities. With extensive experience in various roles, Yannis currently serves as a Digital Governance Expert for both the World Bank and the United Nations, and has contributed as an external expert for the European Commission on multiple projects related to interoperability and digital services. Additionally, Yannis is involved in numerous innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives, coordinating projects such as PYTHIA and PROMETHEUS, while also directing an MSc program on Digital Innovation and Startup Entrepreneurship in collaboration with the National Technical University of Athens. Yannis's educational background includes a PhD in Information Systems from the National Technical University of Athens and specialized training in entrepreneurship from the University of California, Berkeley, among other qualifications.
