Derek Sellin

Derek Sellin is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in strategic partnerships, marketing, and ecosystem development across the technology and automotive sectors. Currently serving as Head of Ecosystem at Qt Group since May 2024, Derek leads the expansion of the global Qt ecosystem by developing strategic partnerships and increasing the Qt developer base. Previous roles include Head of Partnerships and Vice President of Marketing at Rightware, where Derek focused on automotive technology collaborations and marketing strategies. Earlier career highlights include significant positions at Intel Corporation, Broadcom, Nokia, and the Symbian Foundation, where Derek contributed to open source initiatives, smartphone ecosystem development, and product marketing. Derek holds a Master’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, along with a rich educational background from Aalto University and Georgetown Day School.
