Fazail Ahemad has extensive experience in financial leadership roles across various sectors, with a career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as Group Chief Financial Officer at QTerminals since 2021, Ahemad previously held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Ports Development Company from June 2015 to 2021 and at APM Terminals in Ghana from January 2012 to May 2015. Prior experience includes serving as Central West Africa Cluster CFO for Maersk Nigeria Limited from February 2001 to January 2012, overseeing the finance function across multiple West African countries, as well as senior finance roles at Balmer Lawrie & Co. Limited, Sterlite Industries India Limited, and Dynavision Limited. Ahemad holds a Diploma in Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, Cost & Management Accountant qualifications from the Institute of Cost Accountants of India, and a degree in Commerce from Utkal University.

QTerminals W.L.L. is a terminal operating company jointly established by Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) and Qatar Navigation (Milaha) — with the former owning 51% and the latter 49% of the company — to initially provide container, general cargo, RORO, livestock and offshore supply services in Phase 1 of Hamad Port, Qatar’s gateway to world trade. QTerminals’ mission is to facilitate the efficient flow of Qatar’s imports, exports, and international maritime trade; and to stimulate economic growth locally and regionally.
