Jason Romero

Jason Romero has a diverse work experience in the construction and real estate industries. Jason started their career as a Construction Supervisor at Romero Construction Inc. in 2002 and worked there until 2007. Jason then worked as a Construction Consultant at CCL Construction Consultants, Inc. from 2008 to 2009. Subsequently, Jason worked as a Construction Attorney at Husch Blackwell from 2009 to 2010.

In 2010, Jason joined Stinson Leonard Street LLP as a Real Estate Attorney, where they provided legal services for various real estate and construction projects. Jason worked there until 2014 when they transitioned to Husch Blackwell as a Real Estate Partner. In this role, they served as an attorney on the Real Estate, Development, and Construction industry team and co-chaired the Investment Real Estate industry sector group.

In 2018, Jason joined Platform Ventures as a Vice President. In this role, they worked on all aspects of the business, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, tax incentives, project development, asset management, and strategic planning for investments in real estate assets, operating companies, and technologies throughout the United States. Platform Ventures is a registered investment advisor with approximately $2.7 billion in assets under management.

Most recently, in 2022, Jason became the Executive Vice President at QTS Data Centers, where they currently hold a leadership position.

Jason Romero began their education in 2002 at The University of Kansas, where they earned a Bachelor of General Studies (B.G.S.) degree in American Studies in 2006. In 2005, Jason participated in a Semester Abroad program at the University of Melbourne. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Construction Management at the University of Kansas - School of Engineering from 2006 to 2009. At the same time, they also attended the University of Kansas School of Law and obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree specializing in Law. Continuing their education, Jason completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Finance and Strategic Management from The University of Kansas School of Business between 2010 and 2013. Recently, in 2021 and 2022, Jason obtained a Professional Leadership Certificate from The University of Kansas.
