Gemma Beasy is a PhD student at Quadram Institute since October 2018, focusing on a project funded by the BigC Cancer Charity which investigates the impact of diets rich in broccoli on prostate cancer progression, under the supervision of Dr. Paul Kroon and Dr. Maria Traka. Gemma previously held various roles, including as a PROgress Dance Coach at SportsPark, where coaching was provided for children aged 13-15, and as a Clinical Research and Trials Unit Placement Student at Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Additionally, Gemma completed a year in industry at Quadram Institute, where lab and writing skills were enhanced, and worked as a Laboratory Attendant at John Innes Centre to refine laboratory techniques. Early career experience includes part-time work as a waitress at The Cockerel Tea Rooms and Flying Cockerel. Gemma holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of East Anglia.
