Erik Hinrichsen

Erik Hinrichsen is a highly experienced mechanical engineer currently serving as the Lead Mechanical Engineer at Quadratic 3D, Inc. since September 2023. Previously, Erik held the position of Senior Opto-Mechanical Engineer and Mechanical Design Engineer at MIT Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research from May 2019 to September 2023, contributing significantly to projects such as WINTER, LLAMAS, and REDSoX. Erik's prior experience includes working as an Opto-mechanical Engineer at IPG Photonics, focusing on new product development in laser beam delivery and designing complex systems like the 2-axis "Wobbler" for laser welding. Additionally, Erik interned at Twin Harbor Labs and worked as a Junior PCB Design Engineer at ACDI. Erik holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis.
