Gavin Kiel is a senior chemist at Quadratic 3D. Gavin has a wealth of experience in the field of organic chemistry, having worked as a graduate student researcher at Tilley Group, UC Berkeley, where they specialized in the synthesis of nanocarbons via transition metal-mediated cycloaddition chemistry. Gavin also has experience working as a graduate student instructor, where they led introductory organic chemistry laboratory sections, and as a research assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where they worked on the synthesis of organic electronic materials and supramolecular structures.
Gavin Kiel started their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. Gavin then went on to do Postbaccalaureate Studies in Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley before earning their Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from the same school. Finally, they completed a Master of Science in Financial Economics at the Saïd Business School of the University of Oxford.
