Quail Forever
Mike Sampsel has extensive experience in both the automotive and outdoor sports industries. Currently serving as the Youth Shooting Sports Coordinator for Quail Forever since January 2015, Mike has been instrumental in promoting youth engagement in shooting sports through the Shortgrass chapter. For over three decades, Mike has also held various roles at Barnes-Baker Motors, starting as a technician and progressing to positions such as Service Advisor/Assistant Service Manager and Former Service Manager, where responsibilities included scheduling service appointments, managing technicians, and overseeing customer relations. Mike's educational background includes an Associate in Applied Science in Automotive Technology from Des Moines Area Community College and a diploma from Chillicothe High School. Early career experiences include working as a stockman and pizza department employee at Hy-Vee from 1988 to 1992.

Quail Forever
Quail Forever is dedicated to the conservation of quail, pheasants and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education and land management policies and programs. At the heart of Quail Forever is the unique grassroots system of fundraising and project development that allows members to see the direct result of their contributions. Quail Forever, Pheasants Forever's sister organization, empower county and local chapters with the responsibility to determine how 100 percent of their locally raised conservation funds will be spent - the only national conservation organization that operates through this truly grassroots structure. As a result, chapter volunteers are able to see the fruits of their efforts locally, while belonging to a larger national organization with a voice on federal and state conservation policy.
