Peter de Bruyne

Global Business Director Non-ferrous at Quaker Houghton

Peter De Bruyne has extensive experience in the non-ferrous industry, having held various roles over the years. Peter began their career as a Chemist Fluids Laboratory at Sidmar in 1991, before moving on to become a Manager Chemical Laboratory at Corus Aluminium in 1993. In 2000, Peter joined Houghton Europe as a Technical Manager Rolling, where they stayed for five years before joining Aleris Aluminum as a Manager Laboratories. Peter then returned to Houghton Europe in 2011 and held positions such as Manager non ferrous rolling and Non Ferrous industries team leader EMEA. In 2015, Peter became the Global Director - Non-Ferrous at Houghton International, where they were responsible for global industry management of the Non-Ferrous business segment. Peter is currently working as the Global Business Director Non-Ferrous at Quaker Houghton starting from August 2019.

Peter De Bruyne completed their education at University Ghent, Belgium, where they obtained a Master's degree in Chemistry in 1982. Peter further pursued their studies and received a PhD in Chemistry from the same university in 1990.
