Iason Papazachos

Iason Papazachos has extensive work experience in the field of procurement and consulting. Iason began their career in 1999 as an IT, GIS and Mining Rights Officer and Geologist at Thracean Gold Mining. In 2002, they joined Pylones Hellas SA as a Product Manager. From 2003 to 2004, they worked as a Freelance Consultant before joining COSMOTE as a Procurement Manager from 2005 to 2009. At the National Bank of Greece, Iason worked as an Executive Advisor - Group Procurement, where they were responsible for developing and streamlining the Group Procurement framework and negotiating IT support and services contracts. From 2017 to 2018, they were self-employed as a Consultant, specializing in operational optimization and market research for mid-sized companies. Since 2018, they have been working at QUALCO, initially as a Strategic Projects Manager in the CEO Office, focusing on coordination, monitoring, and streamlining of group initiatives. Iason later assumed the role of Procurement Operations Manager, where they were responsible for the development and supervision of a Group Procurement & Outsourcing policy and the design of process automation. Currently, Iason holds the position of Group Procurement Director at QUALCO.

Iason Papazachos has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon, which they obtained from 1990 to 1997. Iason also completed post-graduate courses in GIS at Freie Universität Berlin in 1995. Iason Papazachos attended London Business School for executive education in Negotiating and Influencing Skills for Leaders, which they completed in 2022. Additionally, they hold a certification in Executive Presence and Influence from INSEAD, which was obtained in 2024. Prior to their higher education, they attended Athens College from 1978 to 1990.
