Derrick Chang

Derrick Chang is currently engaged in Computer Vision Product Management at Qualcomm, where their expertise builds on extensive experience in various roles, including Staff Engineer at Qualcomm from 2017 to 2024. Prior to this, Derrick served as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCLA, focusing on machine learning applications in human motion tracking and prototyping innovative toolkits. Their foundational work includes developing a bioinformatics web application at NTU Hospital and leading a team to create a logistics management system for the Taiwan Coast Guard, significantly enhancing operational efficiency. Derrick holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UCLA, as well as a Master’s degree and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the same institution and National Chiao Tung University, respectively.
