Sergei Larin

Sergei Larin is a Senior Staff Engineer at Qualcomm, where they have worked since 2007. They have extensive expertise in general computer architecture, DSP architectures, ISA design, and compiler optimizations, with particular focus on VLIW systems and embedded environments. Larin has contributed to multiple Qualcomm Hexagon generations and has numerous patents related to low-level performance and security. They earned a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. Prior to Qualcomm, Larin held engineering positions at Freescale, Motorola, and bops.
