Shay Landis

Shay Landis currently serves as Sr. Director and Chief Scientist, AI lead at Qualcomm, leading innovation projects focused on low-power deep neural network solutions for edge devices and advanced AI model operations. Previously held positions include Sr. Director, Research Lead for 5G NR PHY and Future 6G Specifications, where innovative projects utilized deep neural networks to enhance power efficiency, and Principal Engineer, System Lead for 5G NR mmWave Physical Layer modem development. Prior to Qualcomm, Shay served as Chief Scientist at Altair Semiconductor, overseeing algorithmic development for M2M communication solutions, and held key roles at Samsung Electronics, establishing the NAND Flash Solution Lab, and at Horizon Semiconductors. Shay’s early career includes leadership in the Israeli Air Force as a Captain. Academic qualifications feature a PhD in 1/f phase noise in synchronization loops and both MSc and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Tel Aviv University and Technion, respectively.
