Ellyn Peterson Cochran has a diverse work experience that spans various sectors and organizations. Their most recent role is as President and CEO of Quality Care for Children, a nonprofit organization that focuses on equipping parents and child care providers with the necessary skills and resources for early childhood development. Prior to this, Ellyn served as Associate Vice President and Senior Director of Education at United Way of Greater Atlanta, where they played a significant role in early learning and child development initiatives. Ellyn also worked as the Director of Innovation Strategies at GEEARS, leading collaborations between state agencies and facilitating the implementation of grant funds across Georgia. Ellyn's experience in the education sector includes serving as Assistant to the CEO and Executive Assistant at Baltimore City Public Schools, as well as working as a Program Officer at American Councils for International Education. Additionally, they have held roles at the State of Maryland and the City of Baltimore. Ellyn began their career as a TEFL Volunteer with the US Peace Corps in Ukraine and previously worked as a Media Intern at the US Olympic Committee - US Figure Skating.

Ellyn Peterson Cochran holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and International Studies from Iowa State University. Ellyn also possesses a Master's degree in Public Policy from The Johns Hopkins University.
