Jim Young's work experience includes:
- Director of Corporate Continuous Improvement at Quality Steel Corporation since 2019.
- Continuous Improvement Manager at Reckitt Benckiser (RB) from 2015 to 2019, responsible for improving systems and processes using Lean, Theory of Constraints, and Six Sigma.
- Systems Improvement Director/Plant Manager at Ballard Manufacturing in 2014, responsible for improving the food production system and implementing Continuous Improvement and 5-S methodologies.
- Director of Distribution and Continual Improvement at Wencor from 2007 to 2013, overseeing the P&L of a distribution center and managing inventory and shipping worldwide.
- Production Manager at Mity-Lite from 1990 to 2007, responsible for the P&L of the Seating Division, achieving significant improvement in gross margin and net profit, increasing production capacity, and managing a team of 55 directly and 160 indirectly.
Jim Young received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Agricultural Business and Management from Brigham Young University - Idaho. Jim studied at the university from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they obtained another BBA degree in General Studies from UVU, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. In addition to their degrees, Jim also obtained several certifications, including Continual Improvement from MATC in February 2010, Six-Sigma Black Belt from MATC / Alpha Quality Consulting in May 2009, and Lean Manufacturing from MATC in March 2007.
