Rohit Kaundal

Rohit Kaundal has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cyber security and digital forensics. Rohit is currently serving as the Lead Cyber Security & DevSecOps Engineer at QualSights, where they are responsible for creating, monitoring, and maintaining the company's SOC platform.

Prior to their current role, Rohit was the Owner and Principal Consultant at Vassago Consultancy, a cyber security and digital forensics services company that they founded. Rohit has also been actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship and innovation as the Honorary Associate State President (Punjab) for the Startup Innovation Cell at the Confederation of Indian Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CIMSME).

Rohit has also contributed to the field of cyber security through their work as a Cyber Security & Forensic Consultant for the Cyber Crime Prevention against Women & Children (CCPWC) scheme implemented by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Additionally, they have worked as a Full Stack Developer for various clients, specializing in PHP and CMS-based applications, and as a PHP Developer at Instablogs, where they led a team in designing and testing the security of a custom CMS.

Furthermore, Rohit has co-founded Ankhorus, a cyber security product development and services company, and worked at Secpanel as a Senior Security Analyst. With their comprehensive experience and expertise, Rohit has made significant contributions to the field of cyber security and digital forensics.

Rohit Kaundal completed their Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Sikkim Manipal University of Health, Medical and Technological Sciences from 2009 to 2011. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Computer Application degree in Computer Science from Himachal Pradesh University from 2007 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Rohit Kaundal has obtained several certifications. In 2023, they obtained a certification in Security Solutions from LetsDefend. In 2022, they obtained certifications in AWS Cloud Quest: Cloud Practitioner, AWS Cloud Quest: Security, and AWS Cloud Quest: Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Rohit also acquired certifications in Incident Handler and SIEM 101 from LetsDefend in the same year. In 2022, Rohit earned a certificate in Go Lang (Basic) from HackerRank. Furthermore, they hold a certification in ISO/IEC 27001 INFORMATION SKILLFRONT SECURITY ASSOCIATE from SkillFront, obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they became a Certified Cyber Crime Intervention Officer from Information Sharing And Analysis Center in 2020. Additionally, they completed a LinkedIn Learning course and obtained a certificate in GDPR Compliance: Essential Training in 2020. Rohit also holds the ICSI | CNSS Certified Network Security Specialist certification from ICSI (International CyberSecurity Institute), UK, which they obtained in 2020. Earlier, in 2017, they acquired certifications in Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking, as well as Web Application Penetration Testing, from Cybrary.
