Chien Tai

Chien Tai has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. They started their career at AAA NCNU as an Actuarial Analyst before transitioning to the role of a Senior Actuarial Analyst. They then moved on to AAA, where they worked as a Competitive Analysis and Rate Indication Supervisor and later as a Reserving and Analysis Manager. Chien Tai then joined Esurance as a Product Manager, where they successfully launched a direct model in North Carolina. They also held the positions of Pricing Organization Manager and Senior Research Manager at Esurance, where they led research initiatives and provided strategic solutions. Most recently, Chien Tai worked at Quanata as the Director of Pricing/Lead Actuary, where they led teams in developing proprietary pricing and telematics models and monitored loss experience and rate adequacy.

Chien Tai graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2004 with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Applied Math. They also obtained a Certificate in Applied Data Science from Columbia University. In addition to their academic qualifications, Chien Tai has several certifications including Data Science Certification from General Assembly, R Programming from Coursera, and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera. They were also a member of the American Academy of Actuaries and obtained the FCAS, Fellowship Casualty Actuarial Society certification in 2012.
