James Nicol

James Nicol has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. James is currently the Co-Founder of Quant Property Solutions, a role they started in April 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Licensed Real Estate Agent at Biggin & Scott Ballarat, starting in January 2014 and ending in March 2021. From December 2007 to December 2013, James worked in real estate sales at hockingstuart. James also has experience as an Auctioneer at Crystal Cruises from January 2006 to July 2006.

Before their real estate career, James worked in the entertainment industry as an Auctioneer and Onboard Entertainment staff at Carnival Cruise Lines from January 2002 to January 2006, as well as a Contributor on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart at Comedy Central from January 1998 to September 2000.

Additionally, James has experience in logistics and operations, specifically as the Transportation, Logistics & Operations Lead at The New Democrat Network under the Democratic National Committee in 2000. James was responsible for coordinating transportation logistics for major events such as the 2000 Democratic Convention in Los Angeles and the NDN Transportation Coordinator for A Capitol Forth - 4th of July celebrations at Capitol Hill.

James also had significant involvement in the sports industry, serving as the Director of Game Day / Field of Play Activities for the 1999 Pan American Games. James'sresponsibilities included developing game day protocols, managing a large production staff, and coordinating with broadcast partners to ensure accurate start times for events. James'scontributions in this role have had a lasting impact on the Pan American Games and Summer Olympics since 1999.

Before entering the entertainment and sports industry, James worked as a Senior Promotions Producer at CTV News from January 1995 to June 1998.

James Nicol attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2020, where they obtained a Masters degree in Real Estate Development. James also briefly studied at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2017, focusing on Exploratory Data Analytics & Non-parametric statistics. In 2016 and 2017, they took courses at MITx, specializing in Big Data Analytics & Social Physics. Earlier in their education, in 2000, James attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology for Data, Economics, and Development Policy. James also pursued Skit & Improv Comedy Classes at Second City Training Center(s) in Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles from 1995 to 1997. Prior to this, they earned a Broadcast Arts & Engineering Degree from the Canadian National Institute of Broadcasting & Drama from 1993 to 1995, with a focus on Acting, Broadcasting, Radio & Television Production. James Nicol also briefly attended The University of Winnipeg in 1995 but did not complete a degree there. Lastly, they completed their secondary education at Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary High School from 1987 to 1991.
