Matthew Van Pelt has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Matthew has worked as a Director of Project Management and International Programs at the Quanta Culture and Education Foundation, where they planned and managed projects focused on cultural awareness and education cooperation. Matthew was also a Specialist/Consultant at TutorGroup, where they supported employees and potential employees, developed an online TESOL training program, and contributed to the company's growth. Matthew served as an Honored Lecturer at TaHwa Institute of Technology, teaching language instruction courses and consulting on campus growth. In addition, Matthew worked as a Cultural Resources Project Manager at ENTRIX Inc, a USDA Forest Service T.E.A.M.S Archaeological Crew Chief, an Instructor at ECC Foreign Language Institute, and an English Instructor at Yamaha English Institute. Matthew also held positions as a Project Manager at Cardno ENTRIX, a Visiting Scholar at Nara National Cultural Properties Institute, and a Visiting Scholar/Visiting Curator at Osaka City Cultural Properties Association/Osaka Museum of History. Throughout their career, Matthew has demonstrated skills in project management, teaching, curriculum development, cultural research, and translation.
Matthew Van Pelt started their education at the University of Cincinnati in 1991, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology/Archaeology in 1995. Matthew then went on to pursue a Master of Arts degree in the same field at the University of Cincinnati from 1995 to 1997. Matthew furthered their studies at Washington State University from 1997 to 2006, where they worked towards their Ph.D. in Anthropology/Archaeology.
