Lukas Heidemann

R&d Scientist III at Quantinuum

Lukas Heidemann is a Research Scientist at Quantinuum since May 2021, focusing on quantum circuit rewriting and representation for the quantum compiler tket, while also generating insights on equality saturation and intermediate representations. Concurrently, Lukas serves as a Doctoral Researcher in Computer Science at the University of Oxford since September 2019, conducting research in higher-dimensional algebra and developing a graphical proof assistant. Previous experiences include roles as a Software Engineering Intern and Software Engineer at Fraunhofer FHR, Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Oxford, and Research Assistant at the University of Cambridge. Academically, Lukas holds a PhD and an MS in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, and dual MS degrees in Mathematics and BS degrees in both Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Bonn.
