Spencer Mather

Spencer Mather is a skilled physicist and engineer with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Physicist II and Test Engineer II at Quantinuum since January 2022, Spencer previously worked at Hitachi High Technologies America as a Process Engineer 1, focusing on reactive ion etch processes. Prior to that, an internship at Thermo Fisher Scientific involved determining critical parameters for a Focused Ion Beam milling application and developing models based on extensive experimental datasets. Spencer started academic pursuits as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Michigan State University, where optimization of thermoelectric performance of Ge-Sb-Te materials contributed to two publications. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Applied Physics from the University of Oregon and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Michigan State University.
