Arun Nayar

Arun Nayar is a technology and digital executive with over 25 years of experience in the biopharma industry, leading geographically dispersed teams of software engineers and insilico scientists that have developed innovative solutions to advance research and development. Arun joins Quantori as Global Head of R&D Informatics to assist life science clients in developing transformational informatics solutions to achieve business and scientific outcomes.

Arun has held leadership positions in R&D Informatics at Vertex, Amgen, AstraZeneca, and Eli Lilly. Prior to joining Quantori, Arun served as Vice President, Scientific Computing, at Vertex, and previously, he was Executive Director, Research, Translational Sciences, Medical, and Compliance IS, at Amgen.

During his career, Arun has developed highly productive partnerships with R&D leadership teams to leverage data and technology to reduce cycle time for drug discovery. He has directed many enterprise-wide efforts to build scalable informatics solutions by leveraging agile engineering practices and cloud capabilities. Arun has in-depth knowledge of the full range of research processes and has led many efforts to develop innovative solutions to digitize R&D to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Arun was instrumental in forming the informatics team at Lilly and establishing the Singapore Computational Sciences Center for drug discovery. At Amgen, he successfully led a CEO-sponsored initiative to transform R&D by creating knowledge management and process simplification capabilities underpinned by data and technology.

Arun received his Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He received an M.S. degree in Computer Science from Union College and an M.Sc. degree in Biochemical Engineering from the University of Calgary.
