Dawn Shum

Dawn Shum is a Mathematics and Science Teacher and Administrative Officer at Quantum Academy since September 2018. Previously, Dawn served as the Director of Operations at the Social Diversity for Children Foundation, where over $400,000 was raised during the 2021 annual fundraising gala, and 30+ social programs were coordinated to reach more than 300 children with disabilities across Greater Vancouver. Additionally, Dawn worked as a Program Instructor for various programs including Building Bridges with Music and Education Through Creative, focusing on creating interactive learning environments for participants with neurodiversity. Earlier experience includes roles as a Sales Associate at Escents and a Customer Service Intern at AIA. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, a Minor in Nutritional Science, and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education in Elementary Education at The University of British Columbia.
