Florian Preis

Head of Software and Applications at Quantum Brilliance

Florian Preis is currently the Head of Software and Applications and Quantum Application Development Lead Germany at Quantum Brilliance, a position they have held since 2021. From 2018 to 2021, they were an IBM Quantum Ambassador and Data Scientist at IBM. In this role, they led the Tiger Team for Industry, representing IBM Quantum in Austria, organizing workshops and lectures on quantum computing, and serving as a point of contact for clients and academia. Florian also worked on NLP related projects and automated document processing and smart document understanding. From 2010 to 2018, they were a University Assistant and Research Assistant at Technische Universität Wien. Before that, they were a Social Worker at Evangelische Diakonie Österrreich from 2002 to 2010.

Florian Preis obtained a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Technische Physik from Technische Universität Wien between 2010 and 2014. Florian also obtained a Diplom-Ingenieur (Dipl.Ing.) in Technische Physik from Technische Universität Wien between 2002 and 2009.
