Leigh Cameron has extensive experience in software and computer systems engineering. Most recently, they worked at Quantum Brilliance as the Principal Engineer for Quantum Control Systems starting in October 2021. Prior to that, Leigh held the role of Senior Software Design Engineer at Electro Optic Systems Pty Limited starting in October 2019.
Before joining Electro Optic Systems Pty Limited, Leigh worked as a Software and Hardware Designer at Seeing Machines from March 2018 to October 2019. They then moved to ContentKeeper Technologies where they served as a Senior Software Engineer from November 2017 to March 2018.
Leigh spent a significant portion of their career at Tactical Research Pty Ltd from April 2011 to October 2017, initially as a Senior Software Engineer and later as a Senior Embedded Systems Engineer. In this role, they were involved in FPGA and ARM SoC design and programming, electronics design and integration, and software development.
Prior to joining Tactical Research Pty Ltd, Leigh worked at Raytheon as a Software and Computer Systems Engineer from January 2008 to April 2011. They also worked at Auspace Pty Ltd as a Software and Computer Systems Engineer in 2006.
Leigh's early career included a role as a Computer Systems and Software Engineer - Radio Astronomy at Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex from December 2002 to August 2006, where they gained experience in radio astronomy and software engineering.
Leigh Cameron attended the University of South Australia from 1994 to 2000, where they pursued a degree in Computer Systems Engineering. They obtained a Bachelor of Engineering during their time at the university.
