Kerim Arat, PhD, is an experienced Electron Optics and Metrology Engineer at Quantum Design since May 2022, with prior roles including Scientific Consultant at SonaliSys and various academic positions including Post Doctoral Fellow at Georgetown University and Foreign Guest Researcher at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Dr. Arat's research expertise encompasses modeling charging effects in Scanning Electron Microscopy and Electron Beam Lithography through the development of Monte Carlo simulators, with significant contributions to image formation and nanopatterning understanding. Previous positions also include software development and testing for Monte Carlo-based simulation tools at GenISys GmbH and internships focused on electrical behavior modeling and testing electronic boards.
