Chief Digital Architect at Quantum Energy Partners

Bill leads Quantum’s overall system engineering effort for digital as Chief Digital Architect. He is responsible for defining and evolving a world-class digital architecture system for Quantum and Quantum’s portfolio companies. This includes the engineering efforts around cloud, data, machine learning, integration, and business architecture.

Prior to joining Quantum, Bill was Chief Digital Engineer within Chevron’s IT Company, responsible for developing the engineering standards and blueprints for Chevron’s Digital Architecture System—a common digital platform system integrating all functional and business unit Information Technology. Bill’s prior roles at Chevron include Lead Architect – Global Cloud Acceleration, Lead Architect Upstream Workflow Transformation (Chevron’s global digital oilfield initiative) and IT Strategist. Prior to joining Chevron, Bill was founder/CEO of Geo/SQL Corporation, a GIS mapping company as well as CarteWright, an Energy IT consulting company.

Bill was elected a Chevron Fellow in 2019, a distinction bestowed on a very small and elite group of Chevron’s most talented scientists and technical professionals. He completed studies in Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan and Geomatics Studies at the University of Calgary.
