Jim Baird

Jim is a member of Quantum’s Executive Committee and oversees all legal aspects of Quantum’s activities, with primary emphasis on transaction structuring, documentation and due diligence. He also consults with Quantum’s portfolio companies and affiliated funds on general legal, tax and other matters.

Jim joined Quantum from Andrews Kurth LLP, a Houston-based law firm, where he had practiced law since 1978, with emphasis on partnership, limited liability company, securities and tax law. Prior to joining Quantum, Jim acted as primary legal counsel on substantially all of Quantum’s private equity investments. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas. Jim holds a B.S. degree with Special Attainments in Commerce from Washington and Lee University and a J.D. from Southern Methodist University.
