Shabnam Jafari, PhD

Shabnam Jafari, PhD has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as a Marketing Specialist at Pars Niktash. Following that, from 2014 to 2016, they served as a Graduate Student Researcher at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. In 2016, they started working as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Davis, where they specialized in Chemistry/Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine. During this time, they also held a role as a Keller Pathway Fellow at the University of California, Davis - Graduate School of Management from 2019 to 2020. In 2019, Shabnam co-founded StarBio Diagnostics, where they continue to work. Lastly, they joined the Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative in 2020, initially as a Collaborations Manager (Business Development), and later promoted to the role of Senior Collaborations Manager (Business Development) in 2022.

Shabnam Jafari, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Sharif University of Technology from 2008 to 2012. Shabnam then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Organic Chemistry at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville from 2014 to 2016. Continuing their education, they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry-Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine from the University of California, Davis from 2016 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Shabnam Jafari has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Shabnam received certifications in Lean Agile Whitebelt from Lean Sensei International in July 2022, GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Biologics (ICH Focus) from the CITI Program in October 2021, Ask Questions to Make Data-Driven Decisions, Prepare Data for Exploration, and Foundations: Data, Data, Everywhere from Coursera in August and July 2021. Furthermore, they acquired certifications in Finance Foundations from LinkedIn in December 2020, Drug Development from Coursera in August 2020, and The Data Science of Healthcare, Medicine, and Public Health, with Barton Poulson from LinkedIn in April 2020. Shabnam Jafari also holds certifications in Project Management Essentials Certified (PMEC)™ from the Management and Strategy Institute in November 2019, Communication Foundations, Creative Thinking, Leadership: Practical Skills, Project Management Foundations, and Thinking Like a Leader (2013) from LinkedIn in May and April 2019 respectively.
