Chet Guess

Director at Quantum Star Technologies

Chet Guess has over 25 years of experience in technology and engineering. Chet has spent the last 15 years with GE in various leadership roles, including Chief Technology Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Six Sigma Master Black Belt. In their most recent role as SVP & Chief Technology Officer - Infrastructure Products, Chet was responsible for establishing IT infrastructure strategies and creating reference architecture and products for networking, compute, storage, cloud, engineering labs, and data centers.

Chet began their career as a nuclear engineer with the US Navy, where they served for eight years. Chet then joined GE in 1994 as a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and spent the next 10 years in that role. In 2004, they were named Chief Technology Officer of GE Appliances & Lighting, a position they held for six years. In 2010, they became IT Chief Operating Officer of GE Home and Business Solutions, and in 2012 they were named SVP & Chief Technology Officer - Telecommunications of GE. Chet left GE in 2015 to become Director at Quantum Star Technologies.

Chet Guess studied applied mathematics and computer science at the University of Louisville's J.B. Speed School of Engineering. Chet is currently a bioengineering department manager.
