Jacob Piatt

Jacob Piatt is a seasoned professional in the semiconductor industry with a strong background in engineering and laboratory management. Currently serving as the SEM Lab Manager and Principal Member of Technical Staff at QuantumScape since April 2022, Jacob has previously held key roles such as Process Characterization Lab Manager at Texas Instruments and YE Lab Sustaining Group Manager at both Micron Technology and IM Flash. Early career experiences include positions as a Failure Analysis Manager and Engineer at Fairchild Semiconductor, along with systems engineering in the United States Air Force. Jacob began career training as a Laboratory Research Assistant at the Utah Center for Advanced Imaging Research. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Utah.
