Macwin Savio D'Souza has a diverse work experience that spans from 2014 to the present. Macwin Savio currently works at QuantumScape as a Senior Process Engineer, and previously held the position of Process Engineer at the same company. Prior to their role at QuantumScape, Macwin worked as a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, San Diego - Jacobs School of Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Y. Shirley Meng. Macwin Savio also had a brief stint as a participant in the EXAFS Summer School at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory. Macwin's experience also includes work as a Process Engineer at Reliance Industries Limited, where they worked on the manufacturing of Poly Vinyl Chloride polymer resin and optimized the performance of the Stripping Column for efficient separation. Macwin Savio first attended RV College of Engineering from 2012 to 2016, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in Chemical Engineering. After completing their undergraduate studies, they joined UC San Diego from 2017 to 2019. During this time, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Materials Science and Engineering. Apart from their formal education, Macwin also acquired additional certifications to enhance their skills. In August 2023, they completed the Machine Learning Specialization from Coursera. In December 2022, they accomplished the Master Git and GitHub in 5 Days: Go from Zero to Hero course from Udemy. Additionally, in April 2022, they completed the 2022 Complete Python Bootcamp From Zero to Hero in Python course, also from Udemy.
