Mae Shamir

Mae Shamir has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mae started their career in 2009 as a goalkeeper for the Israel Football Association and later played for MSV Duisburg in 2015. In 2015, they also worked as a goalkeeper coach for Just4keepers Germany.

In 2017, Mae transitioned to teaching and worked as an ESL Teacher for VIPKID. Mae then joined IDEXX Europe B.V. as a Warehouse employee before moving on to Netflix in 2018. At Netflix, Mae held multiple roles, including Customer Service Representative (Tier 1) and CS Escalations Support Expert (Tier 2), where they provided expert knowledge and assistance to Tier 1 agents during customer escalations. Mae also took on additional responsibilities such as participating in the Social Committee, serving as an Editor in Chief for MajorNews, and leading various projects to improve team efficiency and communication.

In 2019, Mae joined Majorel Amsterdam as a CS Escalations Support Expert for Netflix (Tier 2), where they continued to provide support and guidance to Tier 1 agents and led coaching and development initiatives. Mae then moved to easee in 2020, where they worked as a Customer Service Lead.

Most recently, Mae joined TikTok in 2022 as a Trust and Safety Team Lead, where they lead, manages, recruits, and develops a team of Content Moderators. Their responsibilities include maintaining high standards of work quality, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, promoting inclusion, and supporting individual growth and participation in the community.

Currently, Mae is working at Quatt as a Team Lead Operations, where they manage and supports a team of Technical Advisors, overseeing their professional growth and serving as their point of contact for work-related issues.

Mae Shamir has pursued their education in the field of Human Development. Mae attended Boston College, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree. Additionally, they studied at Tel Aviv University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Human Development, Family Studies, and Related Services.
