Jonathan McDermott

Jonathan McDermott is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in quantitative trading and power trading. Currently serving as Quantitative Trading Director at Qube Research & Technologies since September 2023, Jonathan previously held the position of VP - Northeast Power Trader at JPMorgan Chase & Co. from September 2022 to July 2023. Prior roles include Short-Term Trader and Real-Time Power Trader at Brookfield Renewable and Vice President at McDermott Light & Signal. Jonathan also served as VP during multiple roles at Morgan Stanley, holding titles such as Northeast Regional Term Trader and various trading positions. Jonathan's career began at Shell Trading as a Real-Time Power Trader. Jonathan holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University and has additional education from New York University - Polytechnic School of Engineering.
