Jan Gormley

Jan Gormley is an experienced educational leader with a diverse background in various roles within the education sector. Currently serving as Deputy Principal at Queen Alexandra College since September 2017, Jan also holds the position of Chair of Governors at Veritas Primary Academy, focusing on Special Educational Needs and Pupil Premium. As the Founder and Chief Executive of 1944 Ltd, a 'profit for purpose' company dedicated to community engagement, Jan combines entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for education. Prior roles include Head of Centre at South Staffordshire College, Acting Vice Principal at Linkage Community Trust, and CEO at Arthur Rank Training. Jan's academic credentials include a Master’s in Education from Staffordshire University, a Post Graduate in Teaching ESOL from Sheffield Hallam University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and History from the University of Wales, NEWI - Wrexham.
