Jamie R. McDevitt M.s., M.ed.

Jamie R. McDevitt, M.S., M.Ed. has a diverse work experience in various fields. They currently work as a 6th Grade Math & Science Teacher at Queen Creek Unified School District since 2022. Prior to this, they were a 2nd Grade Teacher at Happy Valley - East Campus from 2020 to 2022. From 2016 to 2020, Jamie worked as a 5th Grade Teacher at Happy Valley School - East Campus, where they adopted a back-to-basics approach to education. Jamie also has experience as a Certified Substitute Teacher at J O Combs Unified School District and American Leadership Academy in 2015. Before transitioning to a career in teaching, they worked as a Principal at AZ Risk Control from 2013 to 2015, providing risk management and training services. In addition, Jamie has served as an Adjunct Faculty at Central Arizona College from 2014 to 2015. Their earlier work experience includes roles as a Senior Loss Prevention Consultant and Research Associate at Liberty Mutual Group from 2002 to 2012, an Instructor of Computer Science at Columbia Basin College in 2001, and a Post Graduate Fellow at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 2001.

Jamie R. McDevitt, M.S., M.Ed. has a diverse education history with degrees and certifications in various fields. In 1993, Jamie attended Columbia Basin College, where they obtained an Associate of Arts degree. They then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at Central Washington University from 1995 to 1998.

Continuing their education, Jamie obtained a Master of Science degree in Human Factors Psychology from the University of Idaho between 1998 and 2000. After some time in the field, they decided to further enhance their knowledge in the field of education and teaching. From 2018 to 2020, Jamie attended Grand Canyon University, earning a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education and Teaching.

In addition to their degrees, Jamie has also obtained a certification as an Associate in Risk Management from The Institutes in October 2006.
