Iván Ferrer-Orozco

Iván Ferrer-Orozco is a researcher at the 'Formas de Cultura' research group at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía since October 2022, with initial results scheduled for summer 2023. As a freelance composer, sound director, and computer music designer since January 2004, Iván also performs as an electronic media soloist and sideman for various artists and ensembles. Additionally, Iván has served as the artistic director and producer at InterAcciona since October 2011, focusing on the integration of new media in art. Prior experience includes roles as a musician and production manager at Neopercusión and as a lecturer on sound design and digital arts at IED Madrid from 2015 to 2019. Iván has also managed sound and production for the Àgora Actual Percussió and worked at the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de México early in the career. Educational qualifications include a diploma in musical conducting from the Centro Nacional de las Artes and training at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música.
