Laura French

Laura French currently serves as the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources at Queens University of Charlotte, a position held since January 2023. Prior to this role, Laura was the Executive Director of Employee Relations at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools from March 2020 to January 2023, and worked as a Senior Human Resources Consultant at Atrium Health from September 2019 to March 2020. Laura's extensive experience also includes serving as the Director of Employee Relations and Staff Attorney for Human Resources at Union County Public Schools from August 2013 to March 2020. Additionally, Laura was a Staff Attorney for the Professional Educators of North Carolina Foundation Inc. from March 2006 to August 2013, providing legal assistance to educators and organizational officials. Laura's career began in education as a Classroom Teacher at North Carolina Public Schools from August 1999 to June 2002. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Law (JD) from Campbell University, Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law (2002-2005) and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Education from Appalachian State University (1995-1999).
