Michael Shea, Ph.D., is an associate professor of biochemistry and microbiology at Hudson Valley Community College. In May 2018, he was elected to serve a second term on the Board of Education.
Dr. Shea holds a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Geneseo, a master’s degree from Hofstra University, and a doctoral degree in biochemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
In 2016, he was recognized for his leadership in the community with a 20 Under 40 award from The Post-Star, and in 2020, he received the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence.
