Matt Davey

Matt Davey is an experienced educator currently serving as the Head of Faculty for Mathematics at Hillcrest Christian College since January 2018, where responsibilities include teaching Senior Maths and Senior Physics, as well as involvement in co-curricular activities such as tutoring and coaching basketball. In addition, Matt has been a District Review Panelist for Mathematics A at the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority since 2013, reviewing school submissions to ensure adherence to assessment standards. Previous teaching roles include positions at Trinity Lutheran College and Nerang State High School, with a significant tenure at Redlands College, where leadership as Mathematics A Coordinator involved curriculum planning, teacher mentoring, and fostering collaboration. Matt also has a diverse background in coaching, including work with Special Olympics and a role as a Scientist in Residence at The University of Queensland. Educational qualifications include Bachelor's degrees in Secondary Education and Mathematics from The University of Queensland.
