Darren Mew

Darren Mew is an experienced professional in the fields of urban planning and housing, currently serving as the Deputy Chair and Chair of the Board of Directors at Q Shelter since December 2017. As of March 2024, Darren holds the position of Chief Executive Officer at Connect Housing Group, while also contributing to the Queensland Government as a Housing Supply Expert Panel Member since December 2022. With a long tenure at BlueCHP Limited starting in December 2014, Darren has held various roles, including Executive Manager for QLD, SA & NT, and acting CEO. Additionally, Darren has been actively involved with the Urban Development Institute Australia Queensland from December 2015 to June 2021 and has served on various boards and committees emphasizing housing supply and affordability. Educational credentials include a Master of Business Administration from Kaplan Business School and a Graduate Diploma in Built Environment from the Queensland University of Technology.
